Austin Social Scene’s Annual New
Year’s Eve Gala
has earned a reputation as one of
the most unique party experiences in
the nation. For 18 years, Austin’s
professional singles, couples and
groups have come together to
celebrate the New Year with style
and elegance, long past the stroke
of midnight.
This year, Austin's only nonstop,
all-night New Year's Eve parties
will take place at the Crowne Plaza
Hotel, 6121 North IH-35 at 290 East
and The DoubleTree Austin North,
6505 North IH-35 at La Posada.
For guests with hotel packages, the
evening begins at 7pm with a
complimentary pre-party at the hotel
with an open bar and light hors
d'oeuvres. During the pre-party,
attending guests will be given early

they may secure themselves the best
seats in the house.
The Gala will begin at 8pm and the
party will kick off immediately with

conveniently located throughout the
hotel offering premium liquor,
imported and domestic beer,
champagne and fine wines from around

THE CROWN PLAZA PARTY ==================
At the Crowne Plaza we will
be featuring Vallejo and Buzzfuel. The Dress
for this party will be Texas Cocktail Attire.
For men a Blazer will be required for entry to
the party. For women cocktail dresses will be
required. Please do not wear Jeans with a
Blazer.
A striking blend of swaggering rock
grooves, potent guitar work, Latin
percussion and soulful lyrics has
made VALLEJO one of the most popular
bands to hail from Austin. The band
has won numerous awards including
Best Rock Band two years in a row at
the Austin Music Awards. VALLEJO has
also had their songs featured in
several TV shows such as WB’s
Roswell, MTV’s Road Rules and UPN’s
American Top Model.
BUZZFUEL
The Austin cover band Buzzfuel first started
rocking central Texas in 1999, with the first of
what would eventually be three lineups over the
years. From the outset, Buzzfuel's focus has
been high energy and danceable rock, with a
definitive bias towards modern rock. While the
band is not afraid to tap into the 70's and
80's, the 90's and 00's is what Buzzfuel is best
known for. Hits from the likes of Sublime, Green
Day, Lenny Kravitz, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jet
and Blink 182 come together to turn crowds into
a frenzied mixture of dancing and bouncing that
has left more than a few calves aching by the
end of the night. And, of course, they bring
with them hits from KISS, AC/DC, Cheap Trick,
Lynyrd Skynyrd and many other classic
powerhouses to ensure everyone feels the love.
Buzzfuel's attention to detail, musical talent,
and obsession with choosing songs that get
people on the dance floor has made them a
popular act at Austin's Cedar Street.
Two additional bands will play
on the second stage in the hotel.
Rayvon
With vocals ranging from a
soulful tenor and sultry, smooth baritone to
a sizzling soprano and a falsetto that
reaches to the stars, RayVon is one of the
hottest vocalists and entertainers
worldwide. His meticulously selected band
includes only the most accomplished
musicians in the region, all possessing a
keen sense of stage presence, performance
and professionalism. With sensational voices
to accompany their extensive training in all
music styles, they take to the stage with
RayVon to fulfill all your musical
fantasies, from the highest energy jams to
the smoothest ballads - from R&B, jazz, old
school and funk to rock, country and a
dinner set that even Frank Sinatra would get
a kick out of. It is this kind of
unparalleled talent, experience and
diversity that makes RayVon and his band
your only choice for corporate /
private events, receptions and parties
Sticks
and Stones
To
see the Stones live was always an EXPERIENCE,
above just simply the music. But while you can't
see the Rolling Stones all the time, and you
definitely can't see them as they were when they
were young, Sticks 'N' Stones aims to fill that
aching void . Come experience what it might have
been like to see the Stones in their heydey. Or,
maybe it was nothing like that. But the songs
stand and the songs rock. And this band will
rock them. Life is a party. Let's get out and
strut.
